Police have arrested and charged a 39 year old motor mechanic of Lautoka for allegedly stabbing a 24 year old van driver to death in Tomuka yesterday morning.
Divisional Crime Officer Western, SP Vijay Singh has confirmed the mechanic was charged overnight and will appear in the Lautoka Magistrates court this morning.
SP Singh said charges were laid after a post mortem yesterday afternoon.
He has confirmed 24 year old Mohammad Faiyum died of multiple stab wounds and excessive blood loss.
According to police the motive behind the brutal killing will be revealed once the mechanic appears in court.
