Police in the North are appealing to the public to work together to try and curb the increasing number of youths involved in criminal activities.

Speaking to Fijivillage, Divisional Manager Community Policing Northern, Inspector Esekaia Daugunu, said the number of youths involved in criminal activities should be a concern to all and something must be done to reduce the problem.

Daugunu said most cases reported are larceny and drug abuse while another worrying issue highlighted is suicide which occurs once a month.
