David Pocock and Israel Folau have both been picked to play for Australia for their Rugby World Cup semifinal against Argentina after passing last‑minute fitness tests.
The pair, key players for the Wallabies, missed last weekend's heart‑stopping quarter‑final against Scotland because of injuries but were cleared to return the starting lineup making it through training.
Their availability is a major boost to an Australian side that struggled to produce their best against the Scots, needing a last‑minute penalty to secure a 35‑34 win.
WALLABIES: Israel Folau, Adam Ashley‑Cooper, Tevita Kuridrani, Matt Giteau, Drew Mitchell, Bernard Foley, Will Genia; David Pocock, Michael Hooper, Scott Fardy, Rob Simmons, Kane Douglas, Sekope Kepu, Stephen Moore (captain), James Slipper.
Reserves: Tatafu Polota‑Nau, Toby Smith, Greg Holmes, Dean Mumm, Ben McCalman, Nick Phipps, Matt Toomua, Kurtley Beale.
Wallabies play the Pumas at 3am on Monday while the Springboks take on the All Blacks at 3am tomorrow.
