Vodafone Fiji 7s coach and Director of Sevens Rugby in Fiji, Ben Ryan says players’ will not be affected by the governance and management issues within the Fiji Rugby Union.
Ryan says they have proven to remain focused and committed even at times where the union faced great difficulties.
He says this is still somehow a concern, as players refer some of their attention to these off the field issues.
The Vodafone Fiji Sevens team and the Telecom Fijiana have both qualified for the Rio Olympics in August next year.
Meanwhile Donasio Ratubuli has been ruled out from the sevens series due to a broken leg while Eminoni Nasilasila is still recovering from a chest injury.
The final 12 players or possible 14 for the Dubai Sevens will be named later this week or early next week.
Fiji is pooled with Canada, Japan and Argentina in Pool A of the Dubai Sevens.
