Rugby is not just a physical game, it is a mind game and the Digicel Fiji 7s coaching staff are focusing on getting the boys mentally prepared for the next leg of the IRB sevens series.
Assistant coach Jo Savou said that the boys who have been playing competitively locally in the Nawaka and Marist 7s, were handpicked and need to be conditioned to work together as a team.
Savou said that it has also been noticed that getting the boys to push the barrier and continue playing despite being tired is one of the biggest problems in the side.
Meanwhile, the Digicel Fiji 7s selectors will reduce the number of players in the current 24 member squad next week.
Fiji is in Pool D in the Hong Kong 7s with Kenya, Russia and Malaysia.
The Hong Kong 7s will be held from the 25th to the 27th of this month.
