“It seems we came to Suva for a picnic.”

Those were the words of Nadi soccer star Ratu Veresa Toma, after the announcement by Fiji FA to post-pone the Vodafone FACT due to unplayable ground conditions at Ratu Cakobau Park.

Ratu Veresa said players will spend time with their mothers for Mothers Day tomorrow.

Suva soccer boss, Mahendra Prasad said they will remain in camp to maintain the team spirit.

Fiji FA CEO, Bob Kumar said the Board of Control made the decision after assessing Ratu Cakobau Park this morning.

He said further decisions will be made on Monday.

Kumar added those soccer fans who have bought tickets in advance should keep it safely as they will be refunded if the tournament venue is changed.

According to Kumar the Western and Northern soccer teams will return to their respective districts as their return fares were paid by Fiji FA and they will have to fork out more money for their fares if decision on the venue is made.
