NRL clubs have been told to make sure their players and staff behave while in Auckland for the annual Nines tournament.

The tournament is played at Eden Park this weekend and comes after the game has been disgraced by a series of recent incidents, most notably the drunken antics of Roosters skipper Mitchell Pearce.

NRL's integrity unit boss Nick Weeks emailed the chief executives of all 16 clubs yesterday, reminding them of their responsibilities.

The Auckland Nines tournament will be held this Saturday and Sunday.
