The war of words over the release of Navua players Alvin Avinesh to play for Lautoka in the opening Champion vs Champion series has taken another twist.

Yesterday, Fiji Football Association Chief Executive Officer Bob Kumar said that a final decision would be made either today or in the board of control meeting tomorrow.

Navua Soccer Association said that Avinesh now owed them $18,000 dollars from the $12,000 dollars which they earlier claimed.

FFA CEO Kumar said Lautoka paid $12,000 for his release to the Fiji FA however saying that the amount asked by Navua is too much even though they had a contract with Avinesh.

Lautoka will meet Navua in the opening match of the CVC series on Sunday at 3pm at Churchill Park.
