Natadola Beach Resort Limited Chairman, Felix Anthony has confirmed to Village news, that NBRL had hired Vijay Singh earlier this year to design the golf course but clarified that they had paid him for his services and upon Singh withdrawing from the project, they were still entitled to the plans.
This follows allegations by Solicitor for International Management Golf services, Renee Lal who said since the contract of Fiji's international golfer, Vijay Singh was terminated by NBRL, there should be no attempt to use Singh's golf course design.
Anthony had earlier said that the golf course was close to completion and he expects it to be opened by May 2008.
