Plans are already in place to increase the seating capacity at Subrail Park to host a major soccer tournament next year.
Labasa won the Courts IDC yesterday and soccer fans now want to see the Babasiga Lions lift the trophy in their home ground as the Fiji Football association has already confirmed that a major soccer tournament will be held in Labasa next year.
Labasa and Savusavu town council special administrator, Vijay Chand confirmed that infrastructure improvement at Subrail park will start from the end of this year which will cost them more than $100,000.
Meanwhile, Chand revealed that it will be a hive of activity in Labasa next week when the victorious Labasa team arrives back home.
Chand said they will put up a celebration in Labasa which will be one of its kind.
The Labasa soccer team is expected to play some National Soccer League matches this week and will fly out to Labasa next week for their heroic reception.
