Plans are now in motion to construct an international standard container port in the Northern Divisions and open further investment opportunities in the North
Fiji Ports Cooperation Limited Chairman Commander Semi Korolavesau said Labasa had now been given the green light as the site for the construction.
He said the project would cost an estimated $70 million.
A report on the study is expected to be submitted to cabinet soon.
