Plans are underway between the Forestry Department and the Provincial office to introduce an awareness campaign to the I Taukei Landowners on their role to ensure sustainable forest management is practice.
This is after the Fiji Department of Forests and Nature Fiji launched the I Taukei translation of Fiji Forest Policy.
Permanent Secretary for Forests Commander Viliame Naupoto said the initiatives is to encourage landowners throughout the country to use their forests wisely.
