Plans are being drawn up by the Fiji Audio Visual Commission to take the TFL Kula Awards to another level.

Speaking to Fijivillage, Director for the Commission Dan Bolea said that the Awards initially started with the view to only have the Central Division schools taking part out of practicality, but now that the event has grown and spread nationwide, they are looking at making it an international event.

Bolea also reveals that he has approached a few international Film festivals with the idea to screen the many student directed films they have received as part of the Awards over the past years which he said are "phenomenal works of art showcasing student creativity."

The TFL 2008 Kula Awards will be held from the 24th to the 25th of this month, which will see over 15 schools taking part, two of which are from the North.
