The Labour Ministry is currently drawing up a policy for the workplace in relation to the Pandemic H1N1 2009.
This has been confirmed by Acting Permanent Secretary Osea Cawaru who said this policy shall be a guide for employers adding they should amend whatever they currently have to suit their particular workplaces depending on the nature of their business.
Cawaru said this workplace policy shall be finalised with the National Taskforce on H1N1 early next week.
Health Ministry Spokesperson Iliesa Tora confirms the Taskforce is working closely with the Labour Ministry on the matter.
From the first two cases on June 20th, Fiji now has 19 confirmed cases.
