School fees and school items must take priority over social obligations and unwise spending that usually happens during this festive season.

These are the words of Interim Education Minister Filipe Bole who said since Christmas is two days away and school starts in exactly one month, parents must start working on a budget for their children's school needs.

Bole said parents must shop wisely during this festive season and keep in mind the time to plan and prepare is now.

The Interim Education Minister said to save money, there should be networking among parents and students for the purchase of good second-hand textbooks, uniforms and other educational material.

School starts on January 19th.
