Photographs speak volumes of one's history, it refreshes our memory of the past, and the launching of this photo gallery is a remarkable achievement, as it spans back 70 years.
Those were the words echoed by Permanent Secretary for Information Sharon Smith-Johns at the launch of the photo gallery last night at the National Archives in Suva.
Smith-Johns added that the photos in the gallery cover the pictures of people’s lives from the sugarcane farmers to the Governor General of Fiji at that time, Ratu Sir George Cakobau and even of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd.
The photos are also on sale and all proceeds will go towards maintaining them for our future generations.
