Commuters travelling along the Sawani/Serea Highway will be happy to know that phase two of the road development continues in October this year.
Not only will work continue on the roads in Naitasiri, Works Ministry spokesperson, Sainiana Waqainabete has confirmed that work will also continue work on the Kings Highway, and they will also see the development of the roads in the province of Ra.
Waqainabete confirms also have plans to improve road conditions up North and outer to the islands.
Waqainabete added that these road works not only includes widening and securing the foundation of the roads but tar-sealing as well.
The Ministry hopes that this will bring to an end the hardships that the people in the rural areas face when there is heavy rainfall and constant landslides.
