Perth 7s: Fijiana 7s beat Ireland 24-7 in 9th-place semi finals
The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side won their first HSBC Perth 7s match after defeating Ireland 24-7 in the 9th-place semi finals.
Sera Bolatini, Vika Nakacia, Mereula Torooti, and Sesenieli Donu scored a try each for Fiji.
The Fijiana side lost all their three pool games but made a huge turnaround when they played against the Irish.
The Fijiana 7s will meet the winner of Spain and Great Britain’s match in the 9th-place playoff at 6.36pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the top eight Women's 7s teams have booked their spots in the quarter finals.
The USA will face France at 12.02am tomorrow in the first quarter final, followed by New Zealand taking on China at 12.24am, Japan meets Australia at 12.46am in the third quarter final, and Canada will play Brazil at 1.08am in the last quarter final.
The cup semi finals will start at 7.49pm tomorrow, and the cup final will kick off at 12.11am Monday.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Men’s 7s team will meet France at 9.27pm tomorrow in the 5th-place playoff.
The men’s semi finals will start at 7.05pm tomorrow, and the cup final will kick off at 11.35pm tomorrow.
