Permission will not be sought from the Interim Prime Minister on whether or not businessman Ballu Khan will be allowed to leave for New Zealand for medical treatment.
These are the words of one of Khan's legal counsels, Tevita Fa who say an application regarding this issue will be made to the courts.
The Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama had earlier said that it is clear that Khan is pretending to be sick and injured because he does not want to be questioned by police and remanded in custody.
Commodore Bainimarama also said the independent doctors have already recommended that Khan does not need any surgery and he is not carrying any serious injuries.
Based on that analysis, the Interim Prime Minister stresses that Khan will not be allowed to leave for NZ for medical treatment as he does not have any injuries or sickness that requires overseas treatment.
Ballu Khan's Auckland based Queens Counsel Peter William said he is disappointed that his application to get Khan back to Auckland for a medical checkup has not gone through.
