The Permanent Arbitrator is yet to make a decision on civil servants back pay whose 2% pay was restored yesterday.

Trade Unions have continuously called for back pay for their members however the Labour Ministry's Disputes Committee, Chairman, Vimlesh Maharaj said they have done their share of work and referred the matter to the Permanent Arbitrator.

It has been confirmed that Permanent Arbitrator, William Cullenchini is on leave and is expected to make a decision once he resumes office.

PSC yesterday paid out over $5 million as 2% pay restoration was made for civil servants yesterday.

Another 2% will be restored in December.
