Perform Cibi-President
President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau has told members of the Digicel Fiji 7s team to perform the Fijian war dance known as the cibi when they represent the nation in the IRB 7's series.
Nailatikau made the comment when the team presented their i-tatau at Government House.
The President told the 7s team that if they present their tatau, it means that tradition begins at Government House and the cibi must be performed.
He told them that the cibi has been Fiji's sporting challenge and identity for over 70 years of playing international rugby and he said it’s simply a challenge of you get me or I get you.
Meanwhile the Flying Fijians currently on tour in Europe has not performed the cibi due to the religious belief of some players and the coach designate, Sam Domoni Junior who is a member of the New Methodist Church.
Acting FRU CEO Keni Dakuidreketi had said in an interview with Fijivillage yesterday that the cibi is not part of the policy.

When we contacted Dakuidreketi today, he said he abides by what the President has said and they will have further talks with the National 15s team management when they come back from Europe.
He said for the 7s team, there is not much time before the games kick off and they will decide on whether to perform the cibi based on the allocation of time.
Meanwhile Fiji 15's coach designate, Samu Domoni Junior told us before the Scottish test that the current form of cibi will no longer be performed.
