Despite the absence of proper screening processes to monitor arrivals of visitors for Influenza A H1N1, the Health Ministry said people's health are not being compromised.
Media Liaison Officer Iliesa Tora had revealed yesterday that the Ministry in partnership with the World Health Organisation is only carrying out awareness on the issue, and had never implemented a screening process at the main ports of entry and at the airports.
Tora said they are confident the awareness program has been successful so far.
Tora adds their monitoring process only deals with officials who are based at the airports and ports of entry liaising with pilots and captains on passengers, who might have symptoms of the H1N1 virus.
