Health Authorities in Rakiraki are calling on people to boil drinking water after an increase in diarrhea cases were reported in the division.
Ra Acting Sub Divisional Medical Officer, Doctor Jone Tabuya said they have treated more than 100 diarrhea cases and 12 of these cases have been confirmed to be typhoid.
Doctor Tabuya said the main reason for the outbreak is untreated water.
