Despite the gloomy weather, people came out in numbers to enjoy the Lami festival which was held after six years.
Organizing Committee member, Culden Kamea said people came out in numbers to enjoy the festival as the weather did not dampen their spirits.
Kamea said it was a good move to revive the Lami festival and is hopeful that it won=t stop here.
He added that there was a good support from the business houses and the community.
Meanwhile Semisi Malai, a face painter who had a stall at the festival said that he really enjoyed the time he had with his family at the festival.
