People's rights are still protected under the constitution but to a certain extent.
This is the view of the Fiji Human Rights Commission Director, Shaista Shameem who said that under the Constitution people's rights are still protected but with limitations however she said Non-Governmental Organisations are still saying otherwise.
This comments come after the lifting of the travel bans on Suva lawyer, Graham Leung and Shameema Ali last night.
