People of Fiji are the happiest in the world.

This is according to the Worldwide Independent Network of Market Research/Gallup International, the world’s leading association in market research and polling who have today published its 38th global End of Year Survey.

Fiji is ranked number one on happiness at 93%.

82% people in Fiji believe that 2015 will be a better year than 2014 while 68% said that 2015 will be a year of economic prosperity in Fiji.

According to the survey, if there was a war that involved Fiji, a staggering 94% of people surveyed said they would be willing to fight for their country.

The survey has explored the outlook, expectations, views and beliefs of over 64,000 people from 65 countries across the globe. 

Fiji and Papua New Guinea were included in the survey by Tebbutt Research, the region’s member of the prestigious research network.

The Principal of Tebbutt Research, Caz Tebbutt said it is amazing to see that Fiji still leads the happiness index and it is true that Fiji is where happiness finds you.

She said Fiji is outstanding when compared to global countries in terms of its optimism and confidence for the future.
