The National DISMAC has identified a few areas that have been declared a State of Natural Disaster after Tropical Cyclone Gene.
Director, Joeli Rokovada said these areas include parts of Central/Eastern, Western and Northern Divisions.
Rokovada said the DISMAC team will assist those who are in urgent need however, people need to be patient.
His comments come after a Rakiraki resident, Sanjit Maharaj said people cannot wait for damage surveys to be completed. They need to put food on the table for their families now.
Eight days after Tropical Cyclone Gene some affected families of Rakiraki are still awaiting food rations promised to them.
