People must stand united-Interim PM
This is the view of Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama stating as part of his New Years message that Fiji is truly standing at the start of a new dawn adding that the people of Fiji have the potential and the ability to take it to another level.
Bainimarama said that this level may not have been thought of before, because of unscrupulous leaders and politicians who have never thought of the nation of Fiji but only themselves and their political ambitions.
The Interim Minister states that progress in Fiji can only come from the people of Fiji adding that the people of Fiji must stand united and move as one group with one goal in mind - and that is progress in all areas of life.
He said that we must be allowed to progress the People's Charter, without hindrance from within or outside Fiji and with the participation of all.
Bainimarama adds that the people of Fiji must resolve to work together as a nation, to celebrate our diversity to begin afresh and build a better Fiji in 2008.
