The number of people in evacuation centers in Rakiraki has been reduced to Twenty nine people as eighteen people have returned home.
According to the Police Command Center, the people had to be evacuated following the heavy rain overnight in Rakiraki which led to flash floods and 3 women and 15 children from the Qelema settlement are now back at their homes.
However, 5 adults and 20 children from the same settlement are still being accommodated at a private house at Balekina while 1 woman and her 3 children are being sheltered at the Rakiraki hotel.

In Rakiraki:
Heavy rain is still being experienced, the Naqoro flats, Qalau Road are under 1 feet of water while FSC Road is under 2 feet of water. the Nanuku flat two feet under water ,Raiwasa, Narewa Village and other low lying areas still under water.
Police confirm that the main entrance into town is closed to all traffic as parts of the town remain flooded.
Vunitogoloa bridge is under water and market area is flooded under 1 feet of water.
In Tavua:
Rain has stopped with flood waters receding however areas such as the Nabuna flats, Yaladro road, Rukuruku road and the Mataniwai road remain flooded as well as parts of Tavualevu Village.
Lautoka:
Rain has also stopped with flood waters receeding, the Drasa Dam Road, Vitogo Paipai and Vuda backroads along with the Vaivai, Navula bridges in Saru are now open.
The main street in Nadi town is open.
However, back road is closed due to heavy floods.
Nadi police have gone out to check water levels at rural and urban areas.
The Nadi Back road along with the San Bruno junction road and the Qaleloa Road are under 2 feet of water.
In Labasa:
The situation has normalized with water levels receding in most areas.
However, Vunimoli roads remain closed after the bridge was washed away yesterday.
