As people around the country celebrate Diwali today, our reporter in the North Mohammad Feroz says that people are doing some final touch ups on the decorations that they have already done and are also putting Diya's in their compound which they will light in the evening.
He says the weather is beautiful in the North and people have already started visiting each other and the atmosphere is buzzing.
The same scenario is in the Western Division as many people are enjoying the festivities with their family and friends.
People from the Western Division have told us that they are putting up some last minute decorations, making some sweets and are getting ready for the evening.
Fijivillage had noticed that some people were doing some last minute shopping yesterday and getting in the mood for today.
As Diwali celebrations continue, people from all walks of life have also come out in Indian traditional attire to celebrate.
Meanwhile, the time to use firecrackers today and tomorrow is from between 5pm and midnight.
On any other days in the lead up to Diwali and beyond, fireworks may only be used between 5pm and 10pm.
