There is a need to educate people on how to spend the money they receive from overseas.
Reserve Bank of Fiji Governor Savenaca Narubec believes that personal remittances which were around $256M last year is an important source of income in Fiji.
However, he said the question that needs to be asked is, “What are these remittances used for?”
Narube was speaking after the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises workshop at the Tradewinds Raffles House in Lami.
