The Pediatric Unit at Fiji's largest hospital, the CWM Hospital faces overcrowding.

The Unit which caters for toddlers was set up in 1998 after the Japanese Government approved a grant of $21.8 million dollars.

However, after the setup not much has been done to keep up with the increasing patients that are admitted daily in the unit.

Unit Head Doctor Lisi Tikoduadua said the problem has worsened with other sub divisional hospitals in the Central Division not able to take in patients as they lack manpower and technical expertise.
