Paying taxes through internet or through telephone banking is an option that FIRCA is now providing to their customers, stressing that it is only an option at the moment.
Fiji Islands Revenue Customs Authority CEO, Jitoko Tikolevu stressed that the agreement that they signed with Westpac and ANZ last week, will enable people to pay their taxes as soon as possible and at their customers convenience.
However, he said that they will be taking the new system a step at a time and carrying out awareness programs as some of their customers who do not have access to this system.
The e-banking portal in partnership with Westpac and ANZ will be launched at the end of the month.
