A 59 year old Church Pastor of Sigatoka charged with one count of rape has been remanded in custody by the Sigatoka Magistrates court.
No plea was taken when Gopal Gounder appeared before Magistrate Mosese Naivalu yesterday and he has been remanded until the 15th of this month.
He is alleged to have raped an 11 year old student between the 1st of January 2009 to 30th September 2009.
She is now more than 4 months pregnant.
