About 20 passengers on board a bus were lucky to escape injuries after the vehicle caught fire near RB Centerpoint in Laucala Beach last night.
Eyewitnesses told Fijivillage that they saw passengers jumping out of the bus as it came to a halt while the engine section was up in flames.
Chief fire officer Tupou Saubulinayau said the fire started from the engine section of the bus and it is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
The bus sustained 10% damages before the fire was extinguished.
Police are yet to receive a report on the incident.
