The Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji said safety of passengers in aircrafts is still paramount and assured that this cannot be compromised.
CAAFI CEO Netava Waqa said they keep a close watch on maintenance work on aircrafts.
Waqa said they are still waiting for internal report from Air Fiji after one of their planes hit the Sun Air Office in Matei, Taveuni after it failed to stop after landing.
He adds they have completed their investigations however CAAFI hopes to take necessary action after receiving Air Fiji's report.
Questions were e-mailed to Air Fiji CEO Sialeni Vuetaki yesterday which still hasn’t been answered.
