Low water levels at the Tamavua Reservoir are causing water disruptions in some areas around the capital city.

Senior engineers said the problem was rectified yesterday and they are trying to find out which areas are affected.

The current dry season is said to be the main cause of low water levels.

Meanwhile, repair works on a pump at the Waimanu Pumping Station continues this morning. As a result there is a planned water shutdown in parts of Lami.

Some residents of Lami, Delainavesi and Veisari are facing water cuts since yesterday afternoon.
