Fifteen political parties are expected to convene at the Parliament complex in the next three hours to engage in talks with the interim Prime Minister about the future of our country.

The political parties include Fiji Labour Party, National Federation Party, SDL Party, Social Liberal Multi Cultural Party, Justice and Freedom Party, Nationalist Vanua Tako Lavo Party, Party of the truth, National Democratic Party, Party of National Unity, National Alliance Party, Fiji Peoples Party, Conservative Alliance and Matanitu Vanua Party, SVT Party, Coalition of Independent National Party and United Peoples Party.

The interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama had earlier said that all party leaders should not and cannot come with any demands to the meeting today.

Bainimarama said the leaders should understand the recent High Court ruling and also understand the interim government's vision through the People's Charter.

Dr Sitiveni Halapua of the Pacific Islands Development Program of the East West Centre and Robin Nair who is a member of the President's Independent Monitoring Group will assist in the process as interlocutors.

The informal meeting is expected to take place at 9.30 this morning.

Meanwhile, the Justice and Freedom Party said that political parties should not make unreasonable demands at the Political Meeting today.

Speakig to Fijivillage, Party Leader, Dildar Shah said parties should put their differences aside and put the interest of the country first.
