New Zealand heavyweight boxer Joseph Parker is just one fight away from a crack at a world title.
Parker fights French‑Cameroon boxer Carlos Takam in South Auckland tomorrow night in an IBF eliminator with the winner getting mandatory rights to challenge for the belt currently worn by Britain's Anthony Joshua.
The 35‑year‑old Takam has an impressive record of 33 wins, two losses and a draw.
Parker is undefeated in his 18 professional fights, with 16 of them won by knockout.
Meanwhile, world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury believes Joseph Parker has the skills to beat Carlos Takam and move in line for a title bid.
Fury holds two of the world belts the WBO and WBA versions after beating long standing champion Wladimir Klitschko last year.
The giant Brit is preparing for a rematch with Klitschko.
