Kiwi heavyweight Joseph Parker has beaten Carlos Takam in their IBF title eliminator bout last night.

Parker, now undefeated after 19 fights, was declared the victor via unanimous decision after 12 thrilling rounds.

The win gives him the mandatory rights to challenge for the IBF's title, currently held by Anthony Joshua.

Despite being the busier fighter, the 24‑year‑old Parker was caught by a number of damaging blows, narrowly escaping a handful of close calls before finishing strong in front of a packed crowd.
