The Ministry of Social Welfare, Women, Poverty Alleviation in partnership with the Rotary Club of Suva and Suva City Council are working on developing a park for senior citizens at the Thurston Garden.
The initiative is aligned with the Government's commitment to provide for the care and welfare of the senior citizens in Fiji.
Suva City Council Chief Executive Officer, Sera Nicholls said the park will be a leisure centre.
The Ministry is also spearheading the formulation of a National Policy Framework for the Elderly in Fiji.
