A first and one of it's kind park for the senior citizens is expected to be constructed in the region.
The Ministry of Social Welfare, Women, Poverty Alleviation in partnership with the Rotary Club of Suva and Suva City Council are working on constructing the park for senior citizens.
Communications Officer, Anshoo Chandra said the park will be one of it's kind in the Pacific and is an initiative of the Government to provide for the care and welfare of the senior citizens in the country.
The park will be situated at the Thurston garden.
The ground breaking ceremony will be marked today.
