Parents must meet criteria: FNPF
FNPF Manager Corporate Affairs Wainikiti Bogidrau had today clarified that those affected by Cyclone Mick will only receive $500 if they are unemployed, or if they earn less than $150 per week.
Where a member is unemployed, FNPF permits a withdrawal only for immediate family members, and the applicant should provide a letter and invoice from the school, confirming the child is enrolled and stating fees owing, and a birth certificate of the student to show relationship to the applicant.
The scheme will also be available to all low income earners who earn gross wages less than $150 per week for 37 working hours and this applies only to one's self, spouse and children.
Assistance will be subject to the individual member for education eligibility or partial eligibility and for hardship in the education related expenses only.
Documents of evidence and detail of hardship is necessary where applicable, to support the request for financial assistance.
Bogidrau added that any application that does not meet the above criteria will not be accepted.
