As Fiji Showcase 2010 enters its eighth day, many parents said that they have expressed appreciation for the increased safety measures at the yearly event.
The yearly Fiji Showcase has grown each year with over 30,000 entering gates for Fiji’s biggest trade show in just three days.
Fijivillage noted that a few times a day, announcements were made calling for parents whose children have gone wandering and parents are overjoyed when they are reunited with their children.
This is due to the TFL Safe Kids Corner where parents are encouraged to register their contact details and are contacted whenever a child is found wandering about.
Fijivillage caught up with a few parents who took advantage of the TFL Safe Kids Corner.
Security has been a priority for organizers Total Event Company.
Organizers have even brought in security cameras to catch shoplifters and heavy presence of security guards.
Manager Loretta Jackson said that Fiji Showcase 2010 is a chance for the family to come down and enjoy the food, shopping bargains and the world class entertainment, in a safe environment.
Gates to Fiji Showcase opens at midday today at the Vodafone Arena.
