Penrith Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has challenged Penrith’s new buy and Vodafone Fiji Bati hooker Apisai Koroisau to set his goal to become the first choice hooker.
Koroisau will be competing with inform James Segeyaro.
After shifting across from South Sydney Rabbitohs where Koroisau was the understudy to Issac Luke, the little nippy Fijian has another of the game’s best hookers ahead of him with Segeyaro coming off his best NRL season.
Cleary said Koroisau only needs to look back over his own short NRL career.
With only 13 NRL games behind him last year, Koroisau was rushed back from injury to replace the suspended Luke in the Rabbitohs’ grand final winning team.
Koroisau comes from Saunaka village in Nadi.
