The Penrith Panthers snuck away with a highly entertaining 20‑16 win over the Sydney Roosters night.
Goal‑kicking proved the difference in the end with Penrith's Jamie Soward's perfect record enough to edge out the Roosters B who fell to their sixth loss in their past seven games.
The Panthers led 14-10 at halftime.
After Round 7, the Broncos lead with 12 points, second is the Cowboys with 10 points while Sharks sit in third place with 10 points.
The Broncos face the Rabbitohs at 9.50pm Friday.
