With the Miss South Pacific Pageant just 2 days away, organizers are now looking into reports that one of the companies supplying tents for the function have not been paying their dues.
Organizing committee Chairman Dhan Sukh Lal Bhika said that at the moment they are looking into the matter as time is running short, however he refused to divulge any other information.
Bhika added that they are talking to other providers to ensure that all tents and booths are ready by this evening.
The Miss South Pacific Pageant 2009 will be held at the Albert Park starting this Friday with 10 contestants from around the Pacific vying for the prestigious crown.
Over 1,500 visitors are expected in the capital city for the event and Bhika added that thousands of dollars in revenue is expected to be brought in as a result of the 7 day festival.
