Police are currently trying to locate Benjamin Padarath who is alleged to have fled from the CWM hospital yesterday.
Director Traffic Ramend Raj confirmed to Village News that Padarath who was admitted at the hospital is nowhere to be seen and will be questioned regarding the accident at Victoria Parade on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Land Transport Authority has confirmed that Padarath was disqualified from driving for the next 3 years starting from August last year and was not supposed to drive until 2009.
Padarath received injuries when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving, went into the opposite lane and collided with an on-coming van. The passengers in the van escaped injuries.
