The necessary papers are being drawn up against the national television station for allegedly airing a false news piece last night regarding Benjamin Padarath being on the run from police from the hospital, after he was involved in an accident along Victoria Parade on Tuesday.

Padarath has confirmed to Village News that he has been told by his legal counsel not to say anything further to the media regarding the matter.

Meanwhile, the Land Transport Authority has confirmed that Padarath was disqualified from driving for the next 3 years beginning from August last year and was not supposed to drive until 2009.

Padarath received injuries when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and which then veered onto the opposite lane and collided with an oncoming van. The passengers in the van escaped injuries.
