This is the ideal time to get youths and leaders to realise that we are slowly losing our unique Fijian way of life.
That is the sentiment of the Pacific Youth Festival Fiji Alumni Sub-Committee on Pacific Identity, who have organised a workshop to address the issue.
Sub-committee Secretary, Amit Ashwin said that at the Festival last year, delegates from the 14 participating countries raised concern that their island nations are becoming miniature Western countries.
Ashwin adds that this is becoming a trend in Fiji and they are now taking the matter to the grassroots level.
The Workshop on Pacific Identity will be held on the 26th of March in Lautoka.
